Dear Mike,

Thank you for your visit and positive comments. You got the opportunity to see our Digitizing Line in operation at an early stage.

If I can quote you (and of course do not expect me to be partial on that) :
- “... I'm very impressed to see this done at all. It didn't damage the books, even the badly bound one, which I would not have been surprised to see pages flying out of even if read by a human.”
- “It will scan up to 900 pages per hour; the robot can actually turn close to 2000 pages per hour but the scanning camera is slower than the page turning.”

Things are evolving fast and our technology is a real breakthrough even if we like to be very humble at this stage. What you've seen is impressive and more is to come with the great collaboration we are building. You know that nothing is really simple when we speak about books. There is no such thing as a “standard book” : paper, types of bindings, book formats. Etc. Automatic processing ? Rube Goldberg ? Great sense of humor but tough reality : many people tried... and failed. I have a lot of respect for these entrepreneurs like I am sure you do.

I wasn't born when the first computer was invented but it was bigger than the laptop I am using today and it definitely changes a part of our life. That's the way things happen.

Behind a friendly user interface for the operator, the flexibility of the unique approach we have taken added to the tremendous potential of our software will soon change the rules and make possible what has never been done before : Efficient Automatic Digitizing of Bound Documents Without Damaging the Original.

Next step : to demonstrate in the USA and in Europe what an operator with normal training working in an efficient production environment can achieve with our Digitizing Line. Then and only then, reliable data about timing and productivity will be available. We are already 3 times faster than any operator and 1 man will be able to operate 3 Digitizing Lines at a time.

What about costs and risks related to sending books to India or cutting all of them... ? Well, 10 years ago did you used a cellular phone ?
Back then you had very poor alternatives. Now with our Digitizing Line we offer a unique new solution. Smart decisions will always remain yours. Phone still exist.

It was a pleasure to meet you. Feel free to contact me if you need any information or if you would like to have an update on what we do. I am looking forward to see you again.

Best regards

P.S.: For fun : do you know that the exact equivalent of Rube Goldberg in Europe is “Leonard Le Genie” ?

It sounds like a better reference for the past and the future, no ? All the best.
